Hunter Zolomon, primarily known as Zoom, is a major antagonist in the CW's television series, The Flash. While sharing the "Zoom" moniker with a comic book villain, the TV iteration deviates significantly.

Initially posing as Jay Garrick, the Golden Age Flash from Earth-2, Zoom gains the trust of Team Flash. However, his true identity is revealed: he is Hunter Zolomon, a serial killer from Earth-2 who acquired super-speed through a corrupted Speed Force formula. His primary motivation is to "cure" other speedsters by pushing them to become faster and, in his warped perspective, "better."

Zoom's powers include superhuman speed, allowing him to move faster than the eye can see, generate lightning, and create time remnants of himself. He wields these abilities with ruthless efficiency, terrorizing Central City and pushing Barry Allen to his limits. His methods are brutal, often involving psychological manipulation and the elimination of anyone he deems a threat or a weakness.

Ultimately, Zoom is defeated by The Flash and the time remnants, his reign of terror ending with his transformation into the Black Flash, a hunter of speedsters across the multiverse, effectively becoming a servant of the Speed Force.
